The Crypt Reopens in April — and This Time for Two Days!
Kryptozpyt returns to Vila Štvanice on April 10 and 11. Longer, darker, and more cryptic than ever — and once again bringing a host of new experiences.
The event will feature the very first public performance of the French medieval synth project Douves et Doloires, blending dungeon synth with medieval music and authentic live medieval bagpipes. On Saturday, the project’s founder will also give a lecture dedicated to medieval bagpipes.
Another international act will be Radagast from Germany, presenting his mystical take on dungeon synth. From the Czech scene, genre veterans Vyšehrad will perform material from his new album Wotan, while classic dungeon synth will be represented by Dunkelbot and Hnilomorna. From adjacent genres, the new martial dream pop project Jezuzka will also take the stage.
Beyond the concerts, the Crypt will offer a rich accompanying program: a micro-LARP in which two vampire clans will clash, a funeral-themed installation by Karel Braun, a marketplace, a tournament in the new card game Black Magic, a quiz, and the very first public live gamebook performance accompanied by live music.
All of this will once again unfold within the unique atmosphere of Vila Štvanice, right in the heart of Prague.
